TENNIS TOURNAMENT 2010
A fine evening on grass was had by all 14 players with Lucy Marcuson pipped to the post (rather embarrassingly) by the Club President! Plenty of wine was enjoyed afterwards with the 2003 Chablis 1er Cru Montee de Tonnerre from Joe Gilmour of Roberson a particular treat! Thanks for that Joe.

CRICKETERS CONTINUE TO HIT FORM
The WTSC cricket team have now posted 6 wins from 8 games played this season. Most recently a winning draw at the Chelsea Arts Club and another fine win against the Grannies, with Club President scoring a ton! Hampton Wick, Hartfield and HAC next up - look out we are on a roll!

SLIM WILLIAMSON MEMORIAL CRICKET FIXTURE
In memory of wine trade legend and one of the finest spin bowlers there will be a memorial game played during their cricket week at Slim's old club Woolpit CC, Suffolk on Wednesday 25th August. If you knew or worked with Slim please come along for what promises to be a great day (including the official opening of a new scoring hut in memory of Slim) and let the Cricket Sec know if you want to be selected to play!

GOLF SPRING MEETING
A fine day was had by the golfers at the immaculate Tyrrells Wood GC near Leatherhead (after the rain pushed through mid morning that is!). Tony Godfrey picked up the Peace Cup for the best score over 18 holes with Tim Atkin collecting the Pommery Trophy (handicap 13+). Surprisingly Charles Taverner, who had 4 putted two of the holes, collected the Castella Trophy for the best back nine in the morning. Warren Adamson played by far the longest drive and Richard Bampfield was nearest the pin (just!). Mark Lynton (in his new club tie) and Nick Juby walked away with the President's Trophy for the afternoon pairs.
